Margaret wanders into the forest and attempts to help an injured fawn, who turns out to be a shape shifting boreal forest dweller named William. They fall in love and William must choose between his immortality and the human female he loves, much to the displeasure of his mother, The Queen. With the forest trying to aid the 2 lovers in their quest to be together, and his mother and the evil Rake trying to keep them apart, it's a love story like no other.
