Her Little Secret is the story of Lerrez Crawford who grows up with drug addicted parents in the housing project of Camden, New Jersey. Her best friend Kia lives in an adjacent project with her mother. Kia is also Lerrezs half sister as the two share a father. Growing up is tough for Lerrez and her one place of refuge is with a teacher who takes a special interest in her. When that influenced is ripped away Lerrez finds her life in a downward spiral that ends in a jail cell.Faced with returning to the same hell that she left before going to prison, Lerrez is rescued by her paternal grandmother whom her sister Kia has been living with. Lerrez moves to Willingboro with her grandmother and her best friend. She reestablishes a bond with her sister as well as meeting new friends Claudia and Tina.
