In 1930 Director Howard Hughes epic movie Hell's Angels starring Jean Harlow and Ben Lyons premiered on 47th street in New York City, about World War 1 aviator's. In World War 2, Captain Ira Baldwin and crew took the name from Hughes movie , and called their bomber squadron Hell's Angels.
