The descendants of an infamous group of bandits investigate a series of brutal murders in their village. Is this karma or the work of a vengeful human?

Central Vietnam, at an unknown time. After killing an entire family of silk merchants, a band of bandits in Central Vietnam was destroyed by the government. The remaining bandits were forced to flee to the high mountains to hide. After many years, they were able to settle down in their so-called Hell-bound Village. The village is nestled in the mountains, surrounded by dense forest. Only one family can cross the forest and come down to the village in the foothills to exchange food and other necessities . Mr. Thap, the village chief, is the head of that family. One day, Mr. Thap had a strange dream that compelled him to go down the mountain and seek out a dream interpreter. He met an elderly beggar who informed him that his village was about to face a tragic calamity during Tet Holiday (Lunar New Year). People were brutally killed at the Hell-bound Village before Thap could figure out what was causing the disaster and how to fix it. The villagers suspect the villain is the son of a pregnant woman who managed to flee their ancestors in the past. The last member of the merchant family had returned for vengeance.
