A Fiction Writer and her sister travel to the country to work on a new novel. But, local thugs and a murder complicate matters.

A writer (Maggie Cheung) decides to visit the countryside with her sister (Bonnie Law) and friend (Fong Liu) so she could work on her new novel. There, they stumble upon a village full of oddball characters and a murder that allegedly took place in their neighbor's house. As a result, the three are determined to poke around the premises for clues and weed out the killer. However, a police detective (Mark Cheng) is weary of the witnesses' testimony that a murder occurred in such a small, quiet town.—Oliver Chu
