After 9/11, Dr. Gene Bolles from Denver Colorado enlisted his services as a neurosurgeon to the US Military. His experiences during his time served were life changing along with his perspective on the war in Iraq and Afghanistan. Dr. Salam Ismael from Baghdad was studying to be an orthopedic surgeon when the U.S. invaded Fallujah. He relates first-hand accounts of what went on in the city shortly after the U.S. sieges took place. Salam is a member of a group called Doctors for Iraq who are striving to help bring a sense of humanity back to his country.—Anonymous
