Leaving behind a hard life with their families, two young girls end up in a brothel, fall in love and support one another against the adversities and violence of the night.

At only 17, quiet, introverted prostitute Martha fears that she's too old for the job. Indeed, she is nearly close to burning out, and to make matters worse, a new girl, brash sixteen-year-old Nadia, has already become the brothel's most popular tart. However, as jealousy gives way to seduction and, then, friendship and love, the two women start dreaming of escaping their ugly world and the clutches of their sadistic pimp--after all, this job is only a stepping stone to a brighter future.
