HARAMBEE: PULLING TOGETHER Harambee is a documentary film about how Africans in Ottawa Canada came together to support each other, as a result of the Kasonde tragedy, when a man out of frustration from a domestic dispute shot and killed two of his children on May 25, 1995. 10 year old Wilson and 8 year old Margaret were murdered in cold blood by their father, Robert Kasonde. It was a traumatic experience for 7 year old Geoffrey Kasonde, the only surviving child who watched his two siblings killed by his father.
