A farming community make their money through kidnapping children and selling their vital organs on the black market.
Hansel and Gretel, two twin siblings who are around nine-years-old, are abducted after school by Jim and Dustin, two pig farmers employed by a child-trafficking ring. The ring sells children as "thieves, beggars or prostitutes" but specializes in providing unwilling organ donors of the offspring of the unscrupulous rich. Inspector Roy suspects a woman called Solange of being the ringleader, but lacks conclusive evidence. Silvia Ruiz joins Roy's vice squad team and throws herself into the investigation.
Meanwhile, Hansel and Gretel are murdered for their organs and their corpses are buried on waste ground by Mario and Stanko, two of Solange's associates. The ghosts of the two children rise up that night and begin a campaign of vengeance. They create a ghostly nursery rhythm before each of their victims before they kill them. The first victim is Bruce, the stepfather of Hansel and Gretel who cared nothing for them. He is killed on his farm when a faulty rotavator springs to live and tears him to pieces. The second victim is the partly crippled Solange, who sees the children and topples into her swimming pool and drowns.
Silvia confronts the rest of Solange's gang whom include Stanko, Mario, his wife Anna, Solange's husband Fred and secretary Lina... who soon realize the someone is killing them off one by one. The children's next victim is Stanko who falls into a slurry pit full of manure. The ghost children appear before Mario's mother who back away from them and accidentally impales her head on a steel spike, which dislodges her eyeball.
The arrival of Inspector Roy's superior to the case resolves nothing, and Silvia calls in her old chaplain from the police academy. He too as little effect on the ghost children. Meanwhile, a woman planning to take over running Solange's business is terrorized by the ghost children while taking a bath; she slips and hits her head against the tub and dies from the injury.
The two men, Jim and Dustin, are sent to bury more child corpses, who then get burned alive in a fire caused by the two ghosts. Lina is next to be killed when her shower turned boiling hot and scalds her to death. Also a henchman heavy named Pat is induced to shoot himself in the face. Fred makes a run for it and heads for the local church, but the ghost children will not be denied; Fred ends up falling to his death from the roof of a nearby building.
With all of the gang now dead, the children can rest in peace after they appear and say goodbye to Silvia.
