The small town struggle to survive amidst the everyday horrors of misplaced anger and indifference.

The story follows five different characters as they have their lives exposed with the different interactions with each other. Friday Baker is a schoolteacher who takes a special interest in helping kids whose lives seems doomed. He works with head janitor Donald Graves who provides street knowledge about the kids and their life situations. Friday seems to hit a snag when new teacher Michelle Sheets takes a liking to Friday.
