Halffter: 90 beats is a twilight portrait that ends up becoming a posthumous tribute to Cristóbal Halffter, one of the main compositional personalities of the last fifty years and a cultural and ethical benchmark. Halffter, already 90 years old but with tremendous lucidity, reflects about his life and work from his castle in Villafranca del Bierzo, where he lives and composes in solitude. His life trajectory is completed with performances by some of the best Spanish interpreters, from such emblematic places as the National Auditorium or the San Fernando Royal Academy of Fine Arts.
