Tiri's parents are murdered, leaving her without a family. Her caretaker Ruck happens to be a contract killer. He's the closest thing to a father in her life. Ruck fears any vulnerability that would allow the gangster Fusa, and his dangerous assassin Coral to gain leverage against them. Because of this Tiri is forbidden to make friends. Tiri is grateful to Ruck for saving her life, but feels alone in the world and desires someone, anyone, for companionship. This is a weakness that Fusa plans to exploit. Ruck is forced to choose, protect Tiri's innocence or accept her into his life of contract killing. Tiri wants more than anything to have a family and will have to decide if she's willing to kill to keep it.—Jonathan A Williams
