Synopsis

A 1950s film noir following fugitive Eddy Roback (Dane Clark) as he attempts to raise funds to cross the border between France and Belgium. While en route to court, army absconder-turned-criminal Roback manages to escape when a gun fight breaks out. His former girlfriend, Denise Vernon (Simone Signoret), helps him find a hideout in the form of a photography studio belonging to the seedy, lecherous Max Salva (Michel Andre) and procures money from her writer friend, Frank Clinton. Meanwhile, the police are closing in on Roback and it looks as though Max cannot be trusted...
