Gundamma has two children and a stepdaughter whom she mistreats; she hopes to get a 'resident' son-in-law who will look after the family; two brothers decide to teach the old woman a lesson.

Gundamma, a rich widow, has one goal - to get her spoilt daughter married to a rich boy. She, however, treats her step daughter like a maid. Gundamma does not care about the step daughter's life or marriage.
