In an homage to the original "Quantum Leap" and "Touched by an Angel" -- with a Biblical spin, the titular character is a gay Civil War soldier, mortally wounded on the battlefield (in the pilot) and is saved for immortality by God himself. In turn, Gabe becomes a guardian angel, moving through past and present, to save souls (both gay and straight).—Bruce Reisman
