Thirty years later, they gather with their families for their coach's funeral and a weekend at a house on a lake where they used to party. By now, each is a grownup with problems and challenges: Marcus is alone and drinks too much. Rob, with three daughters he rarely sees, is always deeply in love until he turns on his next ex-wife. Robert (Blake Clark) tells them to live their lives in a similar way to how they played the game. Leave every effort on the court and have no regrets after the Buzzer goes off.
30 years later. Lenny Feder (Adam Sandler) is a successful Hollywood talent agent married to Roxanne (Salma Hayek), a fashion designer. Sons, Greg - 13 (Jake Goldberg) and Keith - 11 (Cameron Boyce), and girl Becky - 5 (Alexys Nycole Sanchez), all spoiled. Lenny's kids don't listen to him and are completely undisciplined.Eric Lamonsoff (Kevin James) is a co-owner of a lawn furniture company married to Sally (Maria Bello). 1 girl Donna - 11 (Ada-Nicole Sanger) and a son Bean (Frank Gingerich and Morgan Gingerich), who still breastfeeds despite being 4.Kurt McKenzie (Chris Rock) is a stay-at-home father who is married to Deanne (Maya Rudolph), the primary breadwinner of the family. 1 son, Andre - 13 (Nadji Jeter), and 1 daughter, Charlotte - 11 (China Anne McClain), while Deanne is pregnant with a third child, and her mother, Ronzoni. All of them harass Kurt for not being more useful.Rob Hilliard (Rob Schneider) is a thrice divorced pacifist vegan married to his 4th wife Gloria (Joyce Van Patten), who is 30 years older than him.Marcus Higgins (David Spade) has become a single womanizer.
Coach Buzzer has died, & they all attend the funeral. Lenny rents the lake house for the 4th of July weekend for his friends to stay at, but Lenny can't stay for the whole weekend because Roxanne has a fashion show in Milan.
Lenny runs into his old nemesis Dickie Bailey (Colin Quinn). Dickie is upset at Lenny because he had his foot out of bounds when he made the game winning shot and challenges him to a rematch, but Lenny declines. During dinner, the group discusses spreading the coach's ashes in the morning, but Lenny says he can't be there because of Roxanne's fashion show. Roxanne is angry & allows Lenny to stay.
As the friends spread Buzzer's ashes, Rob breaks down over his failed marriages and reveals that he has invited his estranged daughters Jasmine, Amber, and Bridget to visit. The men play "arrow roulette", shooting an arrow straight into the air, and Rob wins by not running for cover, but the arrow impales his left foot, causing him to 'snap' at Gloria from the pain, who rushed to his aid with unconventional methods.
Rob's daughters arrive at the cottage. Jasmine (Madison Riley) and Amber (Jamie Chung), seem too gorgeous to be Rob's, and one, Bridget (Ashley Loren), who very closely resembles him.Lenny's boys finally start to have fun with the other kids like normal kids & even install cup phones around the house. Roxanne is happy too & decides to stay. Bean learns to drink from a carton & Marcus flirts with Jasmine & Amber.
Everyone visits Water Wizz where Marcus flirts with Jasmine and Amber after buying them skimpy bikinis, and Eric teaches Bean to drink cow's milk. The families cause chaos throughout the park: the wives attract a bodybuilder, then jeer at his high-pitched Canadian accent; Rob assaults a slide attendant when he insults Bridget, and Eric ignores Donna's warning about a chemical in the pool that turns urine blue.The group run into Dickie again, this time with one of his friends Wiley (Steve Buscemi), who is then severely injured after crashing into a shed while sliding down the zip-line using his feet. Wiley ends up in hospital.
Deanne becomes suspicious of Kurt when she sees him spending time with Rita (Di Quon), Lenny's nanny. That evening, the adults dance & have fun. In the morning, Rob suspects that Marcus had sex with either Jasmine or Amber, Roxanne finds that Lenny canceled their Milan tickets before the funeral behind her back.
Lenny claims that he felt their time at the lake house was necessary because their kids were becoming too spoiled, but was unsure if Roxanne would go along with it. He tells her he won't lie to her again.Deanne confronts Kurt about supposedly flirting with Rita. Kurt assures her that he wasn't flirting with her, but he enjoyed having an actual conversation with her because he doesn't feel like he gets that with Deanne. Deanne offers to take him out on more dates.Eric then admits to the group that he isn't co-owner of a lawn furniture company and that he was laid off two months ago. He just didn't want everyone to think of him as a failure.Rob admits what everybody already knows - that he wears a toupee. Gloria helps everyone reconcile, and Lenny and Kurt offer to help Eric start a new business. Gloria then tells everyone that despite their recent hostility, she senses love between everyone.
On their last day at the lake house, the group then head off to a 4th of July barbecue, where they are once again challenged by Dickie and his friends to a rematch of the basketball game. Wiley, in a massive body cast, had escaped intensive care to watch. Rob suggests that their coach would want them to take the challenge and despite everyone's being out of shape and Rob's injury.
Lenny and his friends agree to a rematch against Dickie, Robideaux (Jonathan Loughran), Muzby (Kevin Grady), Tardio (Richie Minervini), and Malcolm (Tim Meadows). The game culminates in Lenny and Greg facing Dickie and his son, but Lenny misses the game-deciding shot. As the families watch the Fourth of July fireworks, Lenny tells Roxanne that he let Dickie's family win to get him off his case and felt that his own family needed to know what losing feels like. A drunken Marcus plays another game of arrow roulette, and the crowd flees in panic. Trapped in a full-body cast, Wiley is struck in the foot by the arrow as he quotes that they beat them again before fainting.
