Kim has only a few months left to live battling Cancer. She struggles to make ends meet bringing up her troubled teenage daughter Stacey, with little money, on a tough London Council Estate. What's more she's trying to cope with her daughter befriending an older local man Colin, who has special needs. Colin is bullied and ridiculed on the Estate for being different and being a loner. Kim is also unsure of Colin's motives but ultimately he could be the key to Stacey's future.—Lee Akehurst
