A baseball pitcher's life spirals out of control after a shooting in the Bronx.

Mikey is an aspiring Major Leaguer whose chances at pro ball are slipping away. Nevertheless, his father Bobby, a disgruntled construction worker battling alcoholism is not giving up on him. But after throwing a wild pitch in front of a scout, Mikey becomes disillusioned with baseball and ends up at a local Bronx bar. After a night of drinking on that fateful night, Mikey unexpectedly finds himself in the driver's seat of the getaway car for an attempted murder. Shaken and unaware of the outcome, Mikey enlists the help of Howie, an old acquaintance who is now a lawyer but soon Mikey starts to suspect that Howie may have his own agenda. Betrayal comes to light and violence explodes. With his one last shot at pro ball, Mikey must contain his rage and focus on escaping his father's fate because if he fails, he will almost certainly be doomed to repeat it.—Anonymous
