A 2D animated film about a young mouse who becomes Police Superintendent, adapted from the book by Ulf Nilsson and Gitte Spee.

When squirrel Valdemar reports theft from his nut stash, toad detective Gordon investigates. The cop finds mouse Paddy took a nut, but forest law exempts satisfying once hunger, so the rodent is spared and even recruited as rookie deputy. Although a carnivore, the generally g-feared fox becomes their prime suspect, so they set a trap, with confusing results. Gordon wanted to retire, so he instates the mouse. Then lots of kids go missing, so Gordon returns to tackle the heavy case together.—KGF Vissers
