Gen X coming of age semi-autobiographical dramedy that follows the racy experiences of Charlie Bingham Jr., a charming and ambitious African American male nicknamed "Mr. GoodGame" from the hood of Milwaukee, Wisconsin. The series follows his struggles to define himself while dividing his time between family, friends, friends with benefits, the church, and the streets while simultaneously trying to navigate his spirituality, HBCU matriculation and escape from poverty. Mr. GoodGame lives by the creeds, "it takes grinding to be the king" and "niggaz gone nig if you let 'em." This belief system coupled with his God-given gift of gab and book and streets smarts enable Charlie to achieve success despite the constant internal struggles h faces coming from his deeply spiritual upbringing and his desire to be king. But the streets are hard to let go and if Charlie cannot manage Mr. GoodGame he may lose it all.
