Possessiveness takes over in a toxic relationship that Nick ( main character ) has been captive for the tragic mistakes that he did in the past. He believed in love. They both did. But she kept her word. He will never imagine his life with another woman. Nick tried to convince himself that he would have been able to keep up with a marriage that feels like being buried in a grave that has been designed especially for him. Nick has being unfaithful to his possessive wife in the past and her ignorance to accept the rejection led him to more tragic mistake determine a sad future. Following the orders of his "lovely" wife as well as obeying to commit the rest of his life to a "fake" marriage, Nick surrendered. There was only one person that had a different plan for him. His sister that "loved him more than anything" even before he was born. They say 'What comes around in life - goes around' and this is the time that society fundamental values supporting the woman as the innocent victim can not save Nick's wife this time.
