Goldie LaFarge (Lili Damita) abandons her New Jersey home and her home town sweetheart, Bill Tobin (Charles Morton), to seek the spotlights of Hollywood. Om her way west she gets mixed up in a traveling beauty contest ran by con-man Sam Muldooon (Sam Hardy). Getting away from him , she proceeds to the movie capital of the world where, believe it or not, her former beau is now a leading man in movies that talk.
