A widower turned Catholic priest can't overcome his memories of his deceased wife Gloria Mairena, who seems to have found a duplicate in looks and voice in the couple's daughter.

In Seville, Spain, exists the ancient tradition of the "seises", these being boys in folkloric costumes who perform a ritual dance in the Cathedral to honor God. A former "seise" turned guitar player, Paulino Céspedes (Eduardo Fajardo), loses his wife, singer Gloria Mairena (Juanita Reina) after only two years of marriage, leaving him deeply saddened and with a baby daughter. Paulino then decides to become a priest and teach music in the same school (San Miguel) where he studied. Years later, the daughter, also named Gloria (and also played by Reina) has become a young woman, who grows up overly protected by his father, who, since she looks and sounds exactly like her mother, is terrified by the idea of losing her too.—Anonymous
