Gino Bardi is a football champion and has a beautiful lover, Laura. Seems to have everything from life. But the day before the last game of the championship, Laura proposes not to play at best: she will have three million if her team is beaten. Gino refuses, but a boy attended the meeting and Gino begs him to keep the proposal secret. The morning of the game, although painful, Gino goes on the field, but the first half ends badly with the team at a disadvantage. During the interval, the doctor advises Bardi not to resume the game so as not to risk not being able to play again.
