National Geogenius was a quiz show made by the National Geographic channel in the UK. It ran for 2 series in 2001 and 2002.
At the start of the show a route around the globe was shown on a CGI globe. Throughout the episode contestants would answer questions relating to the route followed around the CGI globe. The 4 initial contestants were whittled down to 2 for a final round. The winner being either the player with the most points when the time ran out, or the first player to have answered enough questions to complete a circumnavigation of the globe.
Winners had their points converted into air miles and progressed to a semi-final and then a final. The series champion won enough air miles for a trip around the world.
