Gabrielle Alves, a determined young woman, finds herself in the midst of a battle between mysterious genies for possession of the Sands of Desire, while she struggles to achieve her dream of becoming a great actress.

The year is 2025. Gabrielle, a 16-year-old girl, flees from her hometown of Armação dos Búzios, country side of Rio de Janeiro State, to city of Rio de Janeiro and begins living precariously under a bridge, balancing school classes with work and theater courses, all to achieve her dream of becoming an actress and singer. After a strange windstorm destroys the shack where she lives, Gabrielle finds, amidst the mess, an Arabian lamp stuck to a golden chamber pot. Attached to both was a flyer for a job offer at the mysterious "Buraquinho Inn." Gabrielle quickly and surprisingly secures the job at the inn, and while trying to defend herself from a sudden attack by a monstrous creature that invades the place, she ends up becoming the new master of Farid, the last of the Genies, who was hidden in the golden chamber pot. As a result, she becomes a target of the dangerous Tars, who seek the Sands of Desire. A humanoid Tar sets a trap and captures Farid at Gabrielle's school, turning all the students into hostages. Lina, the fire manipulator, a new Genie, appears. Could there be more beings like Farid and Lina? Who is behind the Tars' attacks?
