Two schoolchildren, an atheist girl and a minister's son, become best friends despite their differences.

Two young junior high school students become the best of friends despite some very fundamental differences. The girl is a confirmed atheist, and the child of a civil activist. The boy is not only the son of the local minister, but is sincerely devoted to a faith-based life in his own right. Together, they explore the adventures associated with coming of age, while also finding themselves in the middle of extraordinary circumstances and social conflicts, as the political left and right clash around them.—Brandyn Cross
