"Gasp Theater" was a hosted horror Halloween movie special with Paul Merta and Mike Parlette as "Monster Kid" (a werewolf) presenting a Halloween special for KTXL-TV Channel 40 Sacramento California on 31 October 1981. The pair presented the 1971 movie "The Abominable Dr. Phibes" starring Vincent Price. The show also had guests Stan Lemkuil and Mick Martin. In addition, the show also featured stop motion creatures interacting with the hosts; and later a special on special effects.—The Professor
