The Gas House Kids take a job delivering an automobile to California, unaware that it is a stolen car. Upon their arrival, they discover a hot-car ring run by a crooked ranch foreman with lecherous designs on the rancher's daughter.

When the Gas House Kids win the basketball championship of their New York City district, they are rewarded by Kitty Crowley with a month's vacation at her California ranch. Kitty, widow of a NYC policeman, arranges for Sergeant Casey of the NYC police department, to act as their chaperon. For transportation, the boys arrange with an automobile dealer to drive out to California in a new car and turn it over to another dealer, Steve, when they get there. Neither they nor Sergeant Casey know it is a stolen car. They turn it over to Steve, who promptly drives the car back to the Crowley ranch and hides it in the barn, until his partner, Jim Kingsley, can sell it. Jim is also the ranch foreman, and is engaged to marry Nan, Kitty's daughter.—Les Adams <[email protected]>
