Gallavants are evolutionary ants living in Ganterville. Unaware of humans, they ingeniuosly make use of the things they find lying about. Like all ants, they live in a highly structured society populated by a Queen, Antomim her chief consult-ant, Teetor the Major Mentor of all GITS (Gallavants-in-training), and other delightful characters. The plot follows the adventures of Shando, a young GIT, who only wants to be a music-ant. Between Antonim and the villainous VanterViper, Shando has all four of his "habs" full from start to finish.
