Idrus and Hesti, a couple who sell fried food, struggle to fulfill the wishes of their daughter, Mira. Tragedy strikes when Idrus falls ill and dies selling to fulfill Mira's wishes. A few years later, Mira grows up to be a beautiful and educated girl, but still demands many things from Hesti, which leads to their eventual separation.
