Summaries

Funeral School spends a few weeks with students at the University of Central Oklahoma (UCO)--but not just any students. Rather than pursuing typical degrees in chemistry, history, sociology, business, or mass communications, Funeral School focuses on students majoring in funeral services. Subsequently, UCO was the first university in the country to offer such a degree. But, more importantly, this short documentary depicts what it's like for young people to study funeral/mortuary science, and the film seeks to understand why late teens and early twentysomethings have elected to pursue careers as funeral directors and embalmers.
