Hillary and Bonnie are two California teens who meet one morning, they become fast friends and over a single day on a rising wave of frenzy, murder an old woman for fun. At the juvenile hall prison where they are both currently incarcerated, a counselor named Jane, and a cynical journalist named John, try to understand the girls' crime and aim to help them feel remorse for their victim. The brooding Hillary and the energetic Bonnie refuse to soften their stand that the killing was fun and challenge their inquisitors to defend a society that offers them no voice and love.—Larry B.
