Summaries

Four short Dada stories as read by performance artist, Larry Caveney, MFA., in an unrehearsed, poignant and amusing study of modern society and it's lust for violence, materialism, art and sex.

An unrehearsed, non-accusatory poetic romp of self-expression, reflection and observation of the urban human spirit. In this 2-camera, black and white study under the guise of modern Dadaism, performance artist Larry Caveney reads four short, hand-made books of confusing, circuitous, mundane, violent and humorous Dada poetry. Mr. Caveney is a fine artist as well as a professor of the History of Modern Art and Contemporary Art at The Art Institute of California, San Diego. Like the Dada Art Movement, (1916-1923) this film delivers a tilted, bright, useless and rough ride across what has become the social norm.—Ken Callaway
