Synopsis

Rajiv (Varun Sharma) is an awful water purifier salesman in Delhi, who is about to be fired if he does not make a sale by coming Friday. Rajiv works for the Pavitra Pani Purifier company. Samir is Rajiv's colleague at work, who pretends to be his friend. Samir has sold 42 purifiers in 6 months.

As Rajiv is a loser, he is also dumped by his girlfriend Sonam who is a receptionist at the water purifier company. Sonam says that she is looking for financial security in life, which Rajiv cannot provide.

Gagan Kapoor (Govinda) is a theatre artist who is married to his wife Bela (Prabhleen Sandhu). Bela trusts Gagan as they had a love marriage.Bindu (Digangana Suryavanshi) is Gagan's fervent fan and has seen his play (based on the Bollywood movie Mughal-E-Azam) more than 40 times in 4 months. Gagan has the habit of keeping the attention on himself on stage, as he delivers the lines and dialogues of even his co-stars.

Bindu is married to her Inspector husband Ranpal (Rajesh Sharma) & she is not satisfied with her marriage. Bindu wanted a dashing young police officer, but Ranpal was pot bellied and looked aged. He took Bindu to ancient tourist attractions, rather than to pubs and disco bars, where she wanted to go. Bindu says that she feels very energetic with Gagan and likes spending time with him.Gagan also says that Bela has forgotten how to be romantic in her pursuit of social service.

Rajiv is referred to Manchanda (Sanjay Mishra), by a fellow salesman at a fast-food stall. Manchanda is a motivational speaker. Manchanda likes Rajiv and gives him a private lesson, and gives him tips like smiling, flattering the client with compliments and so on. Manchanda also gives Rajiv the business card of Bela and says that she does not have a water purifier in her house.Manchanda asks him to pose as the namesake of Bela's long-deceased brother, Gappu. Manchanda apparently knows Gagan's family. Rajiv calls Bela (and gives his pet name as Gappu, to get sympathy from Bela), who tells Rajiv to come on Friday to fix the purifier. Bela mentions that she would be out of town, but Gagan would be in the house.

Bela leaves home on Friday and Gagan invites Bindu for a day alone. But before they can have sex, they keep getting interrupted, first by the maid (Gagan gets rid of her by saying that he will do all the housework by himself), then by 2 girls from the pulse polio campaign (Gagan tells them to leave as he doesn't have any kids in the house), then a thief (Brijendra Kala). The thief proceeds to blackmail Gagan & continues stealing in exchange for not revealing Gagan's secret.

Then Rajiv arrives & Gagan insults him repeatedly in order to get him to leave. Rajiv says that he is Bela's long-lost brother & refuses to leave. Rajiv even calls Sunny the drill guy to Gagan's house, to complete the installation of the water purifier unit. Rajiv finds a lipstick mark on Gagan's neck and assumes that Bela is in the house. Rajiv goes looking for Bela.

Then Rajiv finds Bindu in the house and assumes she is Bela. Gagan tries to get Rajiv to leave, and Rajiv wouldn't without installing the RO. When Rajiv won't leave, Gagan asks Bindu to leave, but Rajiv gets offended thinking Gagan is kicking his own wife out of the house. Rajiv says that even his father used to speak to his mother like that.

The thief tells Gagan that he has completed his job and needs a Tempo to carry the loot. Then the thief gets into the act as his water purifier has broken down and he wants to take the one Rajiv has brought. Rajiv knocks the thief unconscious when he tries to explain that Rajiv is making a mistake by assuming that the woman in front of her is Bela.

A courier person arrives with a package for Bela. Gagan deals with him, but the courier person is a fan of Gagan and won't leave without taking a selfie with Gagan. After a few attempts, Gagan gets irritated and orders the courier guy to leave.

Then Rajiv finds Bela's picture in the house & Gagan says she is Pooja, his first wife, who was lost in the Kumbh Mela. Just when Rajiv is convinced, the real Bela walks into the house. To save his behind, Gagan introduces Bindu as Rajiv's wife to Bela. Gagan says that Rajiv is not giving any time to Bela, and she was calling him continuously ever since he came for water purifier installation, so he called Bela to be with Rajiv. Gagan claims that it is Rajiv's and Bela's anniversary.

This is when Rajiv's driller friend Sunny enters the house and is confused when Bindu is introduced as Rajiv's wife. Unknown to everyone Sunny is working for Rajiv's rival Sameer in the firm and is shoveling all of Rajiv's contacts towards Sameer. This is when the thief regains his consciousness. Gagan introduces the thief as his Phupha to Bela. Somehow the gang gets rid of the thief who leaves with his luggage that contains the house valuables.

Then Gagan exposes Sunny as the guy who is sabotaging Rajiv. Sunny realizes his mistake, pledges allegiance to Rajiv and cuts ties with Sameer.Now, as all appears to settle down, Bindu's inspector husband arrives at the house. Now Gagan changes the story again and tells Bela that the Inspector is Bindu's real husband and that Bindu was having an affair with Rajiv. Bindu admits to Bela that she doesn't love her husband. Bela gets Bindu and her husband to realize that they both love each other, and they hug it out. Bela and Gagan also make up.

Years later Rajiv is the CEO of his water purifier company and Gagan admits to Bela that Bindu was his girlfriend. Bela says that she knew and has forgiven Gagan. While Gagan is still going out with women.
