Four friends are fatefully thrown into a veritable hell in this ambient and sometimes truly poetic Swedish genre drama.

Madeleine (nicknamed Madde) is a young woman who needs to get some time away from both her surroundings, as well as from her self. Madde's cousin Jessica invites her to come along for a relaxing and scenic canoe trip, together with Jessica's boyfriend Andy and his best friend Robin. Madde accepts the offer, hoping it will give her the much needed tranquility she so desperately needs.
