An aging Manhattan socialite existing on the last of her inheritance moves to a small Paris apartment with her son and cat.

"My plan was to die before the money ran out," says 60-year-old penniless Manhattan socialite Frances Price, but things didn't go as planned. Her husband Franklin has been dead for 12 years, and with his vast inheritance gone, she cashes in the last of her possessions and resolves to live out her twilight days anonymously in a borrowed apartment in Paris, accompanied by her directionless son Malcolm and a cat named Small Frank--who may or may not embody the spirit of Frances' dead husband.—Canon y mus

After the death of her husband a well to do heiress finds her funds dwindling and soon she is financially bankrupt. She then takes the daring option of selling off her assets and moves to Paris with her teenaged son and her pet cat. In Paris she stays in her friend's apartment in style but things don't exactly go as per her plans.—Madan Marwah
