In earlier times Chinese families were expected to take care of their aged parents. However, nowadays family ties have been fraying. The 70-year-old Liu becomes its victim. Mr. Liu was abandoned by his sons and daughter in his 70s. He has been struggling for his life in the freezing cold winter, accompanying by his old friend, an old bull,tasting the final sorrow and loneliness of life.
