A presentation of the reenactment of the 1813-battle at Leipzig. With several Norwegians participating this also became a precursor for the Norwegian constitution jubilee.

January 1814 Norway became war booty in a European drama. In the autumn the previous year Napoléon Bonaparte lost the large battle at Leipzig. Consequently Denmark had to give up Norway, which then entered a union with Sweden. 200 years later the battle was reenacted with 6000 participants from all over the world, along with several other events in and around Leipzig marking this historical point in time. With several Norwegians participating in the reenactment this also became a precursor for the Norwegian constitution jubilee.
