"Fork" depicts the complicated life of Lucas Klein, a former clandestine operative, who by all accounts, tries to lead a normal life until the time comes where he has to confront his nemesis, Nola, a foreign spy hot on his trail. Is it possible neither one has any idea of the propensity of their situation? This engaging, twisting and action-packed drama comes down to a battle of wit and survival.—Mark Eiden
In life, we never know when our past will catch up to our present. Lucas Klein, a former government operative, leaves behind his comfortable civilian life in an attempt to shake his nemesis, Nola, a foreign operative. It is unclear to him why she has traveled from afar to hunt him down after so many years. Unbeknownst to her, he may be setting his own trap for her in an effort to settle an old score.
Years earlier, Lucas, operating on behalf of the United States government, conducted clandestine missions in the heart of Moscow, Russia. It was here he made first contact with Nola; the beginning of an unwanted lifelong endeavor. The two work for different governments but share a common interest in the accidental uncovering of deep secrets they wish were never discovered; never allowing them to trust anybody, not even their own countries. After many years have gone by, Lucas assumed all this was in the past and forgotten as he turned a new leaf as a civilian accountant, along with a wife and cherished daughter.
Lucas goes rogue and vanishes from his humble suburban life in an attempt to finally bring an end to the madness. It becomes unclear who is pursuing whom, as Lucas and Nola engage each other without the armament and weaponry both were accustomed to in their black ops days. Now it comes down to a battle of wit and who can outsmart and out think the other with nothing but the clothes on their backs, further complicated by the relentless attempts on their lives by top assassins from all over the world. There is no place safe, especially the United States.
The twisting action comes down to a battle of wit only to reveal mistaken agendas for both.
