After devoted family father Stephen's daughter Sophie complains about unwanted intimacy with him, without wanting the family to break up, her mother Liz agrees to an experimental deal. When Liz (Lucy Cohu) - a suburban housewife - discovers that her husband Stephen (Derek Riddell) has been abusing their twelve year old daughter, she reports her husband to the authorities. He goes to prison for a year and then into rehab at a residential clinic for sex offenders, where he undergoes intensive therapy.
