Summaries

In 1971 Fay and Bill bought the Island Bay Stationers shop in Wellington, and every weekday since then they've opened their doors to the locals, who all know the secrets of the shop, and visitors, who if they venture past the dairy frontage, will discover them for themselves. For the last 40 years the Far's have truly served many of the locals growing up, going to college, having children of their own, and continuing shopping with them now as Grandparents! The Far's children have careers of their own and are not interested in taking on the shop and its special secrets. So they will soon need to sell it, but who to? This film spends a day in the shop, discovering why it's always all For Children.—Anonymous
