In this spinoff of "Alice", ex-Mel's Diner waitress Florence Castleberry returns to her hometown of Cowtown, Texas, and, on a dare, buys a dilapidated roadhouse. Renaming the place Flo's Yellow Rose, Flo attempts to fix the place up, turn a profit and deal with the somewhat mixed-up and burned-out customers and employees, including bartender Earl, pianist Les, greedy banker Farley and customer Chester.—Marty McKee <[email protected]>
