Desperate to save her life, Claire is willing to talk with Grange, and tries to empathize with his plight. While Claire tries to talk Grange into surrendering, the blood thirsty SWAT team waits outside, determined to get their chance to storm the building. The more Claire and Grange talk, the more they bond over similar backgrounds. She also has a troubled past, and Claire begins to identify with the tormented Grange.
