The two most popular guys in high school decide to ditch football camp for cheerleader camp. For the girls and for the glory.
Two guys, Nick and Shawn decide a two week stint at a Cheerleaders' Camp is the perfect opportunity to score tons of meaningless romantic liaisons with lonely girls in tight-tops and short-short skirts. But their lusty plan to caress as many pom-poms as possible goes awry when one of the dudes fall in love.—Joaquín Valle
Nick Brady (Eric Christian Olsen) and Shawn Colfax (Nicholas D'Agosto) are two popular football players at the fictional Gerald R. Ford High School. As typical jocks, they are always chasing tail and can't get enough of it. They are sometimes chased by angry dads who catch them red handed trying to seduce their daughters, but even that is not enough to deter the dynamic duo. They are willing to do anything for tail, such as teaching science to Maddy (Kelen Coleman) or going to a bonfire with Jennifer (Kate Lang Johnson). They manage to get out of football camp (2 weeks without girls in El Paso Texas, with foul mouthed Coach Byrnes (Philip Baker Hall)) and later con their way into the cheer-leading squad after overhearing a conversation about the camp's abundant female population of three hundred cheerleaders. They learn that all the top cheer-leading teams are co-ed.
The decide to attend cheer-leading camp as they only ever joined football to score chicks. The duo take help from Shawn's sister Poppy Colfax (Juliette Goglia) to learn some basic cheer-leading moves and to get into a squad. Poppy knows that head cheerleader Carly (Sarah Roemer) is too smart for jocks, so they impress the other girls on the squad including Angela (Hayley Marie Norman), Sylvia (Margo Harshman) & Bianca (Danneel Harris). The trio perform cheer-leading moves to retrieve a Frisbee from a tree, thereby impressing the girls. They pretend to love cheering but say that they play football as this is what society expects of them. The ladies are not able to convince Carly to let the guys into the camp. Cheerleading coach Mrs. Klingerhoff (Edie McClurg) allows it as the team needs muscle. The team is constantly messing up their more complex formations, as they don't have any strong at the bottom of the pyramid to hold the girls up.
The duo then tell coach Brynes that Nick just found out that he is adopted and that his biological father just revealed himself and needs a kidney transplant urgently to survive. The cheer-leading camp goes on for 3 weeks, but the duo decides to complete their mission and bail in 2 weeks.
Their objective is to infiltrate the cheer-leading camp in order to meet girls. While attending a cheer camp, Nick and Shawn realize that they actually enjoy cheering and they start to care about their squad as well as the cheer competition. Shawn develops feelings for the head cheerleader, Carly Davidson, and Nick chases after Diora (Molly Sims), their camp coach's Coach Keith (John Michael Higgins) wife. Keith was the first male to attend the cheer-leading nationals.
The tiger's fiercest rivals are the Panthers, captained by Gwyneth. Carly calls them the b***h squad. Panthers win every year, while the tigers come last.Nick and Shawn are bunking with the feminine Brewster (Adhir Kalyan), Downey (Jake Sandvig) (who is gay and has a crush on Nick) and Adam (Collins Pennie), who wants to be the first African American male to go to college on a cheer scholarship.
Nick and Shawn start working through the girls at cheer camp. But the guys have their hearts on Carly and Diora. Carly's boyfriend Rick (David Walton) arrives at cheer camp.Shawn overhears Rick talking to his friends that he is not into Carly, and he is only dating her since his parents and best friends with her parents, and give him sick gifts, including a 3 series Beemer to be with her. Rick knows Shawn is onto him and decides to do a little investigation of his own, by digging to Nick and Shawn's past.
Meanwhile Nick and Shawn are now really into cheer-leading. Shawn also helps the squad's confidence and lifts their spirits to pump them up for the competition.Carly and the rest of the squad soon find out about the boys' true motives for attending cheer camp. Carly's boyfriend, Dr. Rick, also reveals that Nick and Shawn initially planned to leave cheer camp before the cheer competition. Brewster had shared their secrets with Rick and even the bus tickets that Nick had booked before coming to cheer camp. They leave camp after being ejected from the squad.
While attending a party at their friend's house, the guys discover that they are genuinely fond of cheer camp and want their squad to succeed. They decide to return to cheer camp and help the squad in the cheer competition.
While the guys are doing their routine, Carly notices Rick is cheating on her with their rivals' head cheerleader, Gwyneth (AnnaLynne McCord). Shawn and Carly later focus all of their attention to the routine. The squad's routine results in their best finish yet, with a perfect attempt at executing the "Fountain of Troy" maneuver. However, when the squad go for executing the forbidden maneuver, Shawn accidentally goes for a triple back-flip instead of a double like Carly and back-flips into the water in front of them.
The crowd gasps at the impact and the squad rushes to help, but Shawn manages to emerge and yells "Tigers!" before losing consciousness. Although the squad did not win the contest, they place ten spots better than they did last year. Nick and Shawn end up with their love interests, with Shawn and Carly kissing each other.
