A young city worker, Peter Stone, has lost his way in life. He arrives at a Franciscan friary for a rest but finds himself caught up in the making of a drama documentary on the life of Saint Francis. For Peter it's the first step on a journey that changes his life. The film, set in a friary in the countryside, is about Saint Francis. It is the story of a fascinating, complex human being whose life, though lived in the early part of the thirteenth century, could just as easily be a story for today.
