After giving birth to her son, the Memphis college basketball hoop star Destiny Summers dreams of going to the NBA came to an end. Product of a drug addict mother and a father who abandoned her, basketball or marrying rich was her only way out from her environment. Left alone to raise her son, not knowing much about love and only half of herself, she moved to Atlanta in hopes of becoming more than a washed up ball player. She ends up romantically involved with a young entrepreneur who introduces her into a life of money, power, drugs and dirty politicians. With everything to lose, Destiny's constant pursuit of happiness but unfortunately her greed leads to the death of her best friend and the kidnapping of her son. In the fight of her life, she realizes fame and fortune is not what it cracks up to be.
