Synopsis

A little boy, Kayo (Kayoze Rustam Deboo) (Ritvik Sahore) thinks of nothing but playing cricket. His father, Rusy (Rustam Behram Deboo) (Sharman Joshi), thinks of nothing but his little boy. Father of Rusy (Behram Deboo) (Boman Irani) is the head of this small Parsi family. Kayo is a cricket enthusiast & to support him Rusy takes Kayo to all school level cricket matches in Mumbai to participate. Behram doesn't support or appreciate Kayo's enthusiasm for sports. Rusy is very honest, to the extent that he voluntary goes to a police station to pay a fine, upon breaking a traffic signal. He gains the respect of an honest cop Mhatre in his area.'

Kayo is a brilliant cricketer by is constantly let down by the sub-par equipment he has to play with as his father simply doesn't have money to buy the top-class stuff. Kayo's coach tells Rusy of a cricketing camp at Lords for which fees is 1.5 Lakhs. He tells Rusy that he will convince Kayo that the camp is for beginners and not for him, so that Kayo doesn't feel bad when his father can't put up the money. The selections are in 2 weeks & the foreign coach conducting the selections is fond of Kayo.

Rusy plans to take a loan on EPF when he finds that a wedding planner, Babbu, needs a Ferrari that she has promised to a client contractor Tatiya for his son's wedding for 1 night. Rusy knows that only Sachin Tendulkar has that model in India.Behram is livid when he hears that Rusy wants to take a loan to send Kayo to London. Rusy tells Kayo the story of Dilip Dharmadhikari (Paresh Rawal) who betrayed his friend (who was a cricketer as well, by breaking his glasses on selection day which got his injured & blind in 1 eye) to get admission into the Indian cricket team & went on become a famous cricketer. The betrayed friend was Behram, which is why he hates cricket so much & discourages Rusy from helping Kayo.

After being rejected by all banks for a loan, Rusy is offered 1.5 Lakhs if he can get the Ferrari for 2 days & 1 nights. To fulfill his son's dream of playing at the Lord's Cricket Ground, the honest and upright Rusy performs his first small act of dishonesty: he borrows the gleaming red Ferrari owned by Sachin Tendulkar, for one day. He reaches Tendulkar's home to ask for the Ferrari, but the house maid thinks of Rusy as the driver & gives him the keys to the car. Babbu calls at that moment & encourages Rusy to just take the car & return it in a few hours.

The house maid Mohan & society security guard Mahavir, discover the theft & decide to approach a stolen car dealer Shambhu to see if anybody approached him. After Tatiya's son's wedding, Babbu gives Rusy 1.5 Lakhs & Rusy takes the car back to Tendulkar's society but sees police in the society (since Sachin was returning that day). Rusy thinks that someone has reported the theft to police. Rusy abandons the car on the road, which is impounded by Mhatre. But Rusy leaves the money in the car.

Behram again admonishes Rusy for creating a mess while trying to help Kayo. Rusy begs Behram to see Kayo play, so Behram bowls to Kayo himself & watches him hit Behram all over the park. Behram is impressed and decides to approach a friend to ask for the money. Behram approaches Dilip Dharmadhikari (who is an eminent BCCI functionary), who listens patiently but then leaves in the guise of another business meeting, without giving any answer.

Rusy convinces the Impounder to cover the Ferrari with a hoarding & then gets inside to retrieve the money. Behram reaches the impound as well & convinces the Impounder to release the car in his custody (making him believe that Behram is acting on behalf of Sachin). Rusy manages to get out of the car & reaches home.

Kayo is selected for the Lord's camp. But in the selection meeting Dilip announces that Kayo's parents don't have the money & hence someone else should be selected. Kayo's coach calls Rusy & asks him to come to the meeting immediately. Rusy reaches the office where he threatens Dilip not to play politics & shows the money for Kayo's Lord camp. when Behram comes to know that Rusy has already taken the money out of the car, he takes Rusy & Kayo for a drive in the Ferrari on the streets of Mumbai & reach home. There Tatiya's son is waiting as he wants to have the Ferrari for one more night to impress his friends. When Rusy resists, he hits Behram & takes off with the car. Kayo realizes that Rusy stole the Ferrari & is dejected.

During the drive, Mohan & Mahavir see the car & follow it. Tatiya's son Pakhya tells them that he needs the car for just a few hours & then they can take it back to Sachin. Kayo goes missing & Rusy man handles Pakhya to find out where Kayo is. He appeals to the media who telecast his address live. Kayo's coach listens to the broadcast, finds Kayo & takes him to Rusy. Kayo asks Rusy to return the money, which he does. Pakhya returns the Ferrari to Mohan & Mahavir, who take it home before Sachin comes back.

Rusy's society members get together along with the police, the bank managers who refused Rusy a loan & Babbu, who donate sums of money to gather 1.5 Lakhs for Kayo & send him to London where he plays with Sachin.
