This is the story of the women's liberation movement from 1963-1970. In 2004 a woman whispered to me 'Are you a feminist?' She was embarrassed to ask me. I tried explaining to her that it was good to be a feminist, but I lacked a detailed visual history. I had no 'snapshots' in my mind from which to grab. I decided to interview many of the feminists who made that revolution happen. I made it as a woman would, I traveled around the country and talked to the feminists from that time. I connect these stories with my story as a feminist and a mother of a small girl who wants her to know the history of the women's movement.—Anonymous
