Fanny and her sisters attempt to escape Nazi occupied France but many dangers are ahead of them.
Fanny is a Jewish girl in a French orphanage in 1943. When she and her friends are no longer safe from the Nazis, they try to flee to Switzerland. After their guide disappears, Fanny has to take the lead and help the other kids make it over the mountains.
Fanny's Journey is about a group of Jewish children living in occupied France during World War II, who've been left in a rural safe house by their parents. However, when they are discovered by the Nazis, their adult carers organise for the children to escape to the safety of neutral Switzerland. When the operation goes pear-shaped, it's up to strong-willed 13-year-old Fanny to lead her two younger sisters and five others through the dangerous countryside, unsure of who to trust along the way.
